Results: Anti-Corrosion Additives for Ferrous Metals

Earlier in the year, trials with a $700m T/O industrial coating manufacturer demonstrated our product was up to ten times more effective than the market-leading corrosion inhibitor on non-ferrous metals. We’ve since been testing our product on ferrous metals by adding our anti-corrosion additive (AX1) into a selection of control samples – with fantastic results.

Our corrosion inhibitor was added to ‘off the shelf’ organic primers from three leading industrial primer manufacturers, with no reformulation. Following 42 days of accelerated weathering, with constant 100% spray and 5% sodium chloride (ASTM B117 1000 hours) - the results show Intell-ion containing primers protect on shot blasted steel significantly better than the inhibitor which has been used for the last 25 years.
